Ridiculous Experience
During the first week of staying here, we paid over $400 to get our car back. Last night when we parked, we misremembered the number and accidentally parked in the space next to the two spots assigned to us. This morning when we went to get our car to work, we saw it being towed right in front of us, without any attempt by the leasing office staff to contact us. This could have been completely avoided by just giving us a phone call as we were in the unit the whole time and could have moved the... car immediately, not knowing we had accidentally parked in the wrong spot. Instead, the office staff decided to call the towing company immediately probably for whatever benefit they could get from this. We were extremely disappointed and completely shocked by the Murphy Station’s management handling of this situation.
The leasing office staff accused us of not having any parking spaces and knowingly parking in someone else's space, questioning us as if we were two parking space thieves “why did you park in someone's space knowing that it is not yours?' without allowing me to even finish one sentence and explain that we had just moved in and remembered the wrong parking spot number. I was purely shocked, and to be honest, I was so traumatized that somehow just wanted to cry. This was truly disrespectful and unacceptable.
In addition, she provided misleading information about the owner of the parking spot, making us believe that the spot owner was responsible for calling the towing company so that we needed to confront the owner/resident directly. She gave us the contact information of the resident. How crazy is this? In this situation, is she authorized to disclose the other party’s name and phone number? The staff is not even attempting to assist in this situation, but is rather providing us the other resident's personal information and using one resident's anger and confusion to confront another resident living in the same building, possibly on the same floor, to dissociate herself from this situation. Every resident should feel unsafe living here. When we called the spot owner/resident to explain this, we surprisingly discovered that the resident was unable to contact us since he had been given the incorrect unit number. And he only intended to seek help from the management to contact us and move the car, and didn't know anything about the towing. The level of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and false accusations we have experienced is truly unprecedented.
