don’t move here.

This place is garbage! The office staff is rude and not helpful at all!!
No ac, no dishwasher, no garbage disposal! Where’s the luxury!?
Water is always getting shut off with out 24 hours notice.
They need to hire more handymen 3 for 5 entire buildings isn’t enough and it takes forever to get anything fixed.
The “security gate” is always broken and left open.
There’s homeless people walking through the buildings at all hours and when you tell the office staff about it they tell you to call...
the police.
The washers and dryers are always broken and take your money.

Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else!
The pictures in the advertisement are not what you are getting!

Avoid, Rent at your own risk

Not luxury or even OK by most standards. Prepare to never be able to use the pool or laundry rooms, have your car towed, and repairs never done. The pools have been closed for over a year, for 8 months due to remodel and now due to covid. The laundry rooms are shady at best. Most of the machines take your money and dont work. You have to wait months for a refund. The apartments do not have dishwashers, air conditioning or balconies on the second floor. So ya... far from 'luxury'.

Hello,
We are disappointed to hear that you have had a less-than-positive experience while living at Ventura Beach Luxury Resort. It is our top priority to make our community a place that our residents love to call home and are in the process of...
renovating the pool area. We understand that the pool closing due to COVID-19 is frustrating, but we strictly adhere to all state guidelines and the health and safety of our residents come first. We would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns further and strongly encourage you to reach out to our Community Manager, Diana and she will be happy to assist you. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback and we hope that you have a great day.

Not luxury

Luxury is not the word I would use to describe these apartments, I would use the term economy, to describe these. Heard these used to be called the pines until they switched to Ventura beach resorts. Had a plumber come in and say all they did was spray paint the entire complex white to make it look “new” and “updated” on the outside but in the inside was nothing immaculate. The price is the only thing nice about these but then again, you get what you pay for. Walls so paper thin you can hear... every word and thought of your neighbors. Pool was closed during the whole stay and never reopened. Never given a key to laundry room or pool. Entire grounds smelt like dog poop and bleach. Maintenance workers look not the least bit friendly nor are they helpful. Bugs everywhere including spiders, ants and weird insects I’ve never even seen before. Water was shut off every week to fix “plumbing issues”. How many issues with the plumbing could there be to shut it off almost once a week? Leasing staff was nice and friendly though. Miranda was helpful throughout our stay.
Seriously, do your homework before committing to these apartments. Preferred to pay our buyout to just get out of there. It’s not worth it. You can find much better apartments for a little extra cash that will save you headache and are actually in the realm of luxury.

3 Year Resident

I have lived at this apartment complex for four years now and am finally moving out so I can give a very accurate review. This place is great. Having seen what other apartments go for, as well as how they are maintained, this place really is worth the money.

They redid the pool area and it is immaculate, as well as the whole complex itself. The maintenance crew prides themselves on keeping this place looking like a luxury apartment.

Kim is the property manager, and by far one of the most...
dedicated and professional property managers I have ever seen. Every email I have sent to her has been responded back to in an extremely quick fashion, and any work order I needed was done asap without me having to follow up.

This place really is great and even the inside of the apartments are amazing. Wood floors, granite counters, and extremely spacious. Parking is sometimes rough depending on what time of day it is, but hey that's all over California, so no big deal. It's also conveniently located next to a shopping center that has everything just a walk away.

Overall I have to give this place a five out of five, and the staff, especially Kim, a huge thank you for taking pride in this building and their jobs.

Luxury FLAWED

My husband and I moved into Pacific Gardens in April 2018, this gated community has made several upgrades to the surface with the pools, painting, security and the reason for this post, PARKING!!! My car was hit by another resident while parked. I picked up the rental car (after office hours) and I parked in the remaining RESERVED parking spot. Unfortunately, that night the rental car was towed! Tom's Towing advised that Security 88 called them at 2am to tow the vehicle; this was without... warning or consideration for the obvious wrecked vehicle in the RESERVED parking spot next to it. I contacted the rental office, called corporate and needless to say I still had to pay a $260 cash payment to get the rental returned. I was advised by the rental office that I should've parked outside of the gate and walked back to my townhouse because the RESERVED parking spot is invalid without a parking sticker or guest pass. As mentioned, these parking spots are RESERVED for our unit with the apartment number on them. I wasn't aware of the "New" parking guidelines, and I believe that if changes are made it should be posted throughout the community! My lease did not indicate that ALL cars inside the gates must have permits.
