However, a few years later, the building was rebranded to the St. Vrain Hotel, since a different building by the same name had burned down in 1879 on Main and 4th St. Hatch also advertised in the Longmont City Directory as being a music Teacher and doing Piano Repair. He was an active member in the community with his local band, made up of mostly horn and stringed instruments.
