Brookland Ridge Apartments

Love the grounds here, very clean, and feels like I am away from the city. Management office is friendly, and they put together great resident events throughout the year. I wish I did not have to relocate.

Pros: ampule parking, spacious apartments, walk in closets, controlled access buildings, in unit w/d, balcony, maintenance is pretty responsive, valet trash, updated appliances, bus stop at apartment entrance, short term leases available, 20 minute walk to metro

I live at Brookland RIdge for 3 years now I knew the instant I spoke and met Ms. Zenda that this is where I wanted to live. I have been loving it every moment since. The community and the people in it is is awesome.

Apartments are small, old and overpriced in comparison to the newer units in the area. Even with the "upgrades" the appliances are old. Washer and dryer are NOT full size as advertised here and not energy efficient, dishwasher is old and once it stops working they don't replace it. Cabinets are cheap. Maintenance is hit or miss. Depending on what you call for. They respond quickly for easy fixes and Zenda in the office is very rude. I don't know what the "carpet" is but it is bottom line grade… and tears up your vacuum cleaner so be prepared to sweep a lot! They give you 1 parking pass and if you need another you will pay $50 a month for it! Even if you decide to deal with these issues the main and most disgusting issue is the mice! It is infested. They exterminate often but have not been successful. Probably b/c exterminate to them means place sticky traps under your stove and behind your refrigerator. I wouldn't recommend it mostly b/c you don't get the amenities you should for the money you will pay. Read More
