Do not live here

Safety is a huge issue. There was and still is a huge issue with the place reeking of cigs and weed. I never have packages delivered here because of theft issues. A friend who lives in the building heard a fight in the hallway at 2am. You can pay a bit more to live in a far safer building.

Packages Regularly Stolen; Management Aware but Uncaring

If you choose to live at the Sedgewick, expect many of your packages, groceries, or other deliveries to be stolen on a regular basis. As other reviews mention, packages have been regularly stolen over the past year/even more I believe and management has been aware of this issue, yet continues to do nothing to remedy it. Every single resident I know has had multiple packages stolen and been gaslit by management about the issue and what can be done when they tried to make a complaint.

They've...
been saying for months they don't have the capacity to figure out the issue - but don't worry, they have been able to continue to renovate and add marketing materials for attracting new renters, all while ignoring current residents' complaints.

As a disabled person, I'm already prone to high anxiety and stress and have less capacity to buy the things I need in-person, which means receiving anything (medication, birthday gift from a relative, various household items, etc.) is extremely stressful because I have to be so vigilant about when it arrives. Yet sometimes, due to my schedule, I'm simply unable to be home when a package arrives if I wasn't able to ask for a signature to be required (which is such a pain by the way), so things continue to go missing.

Even the "secure" package room isn't secure at all; there are no security cameras in there and every time I go in I see more packages that have been opened and emptied or opened and deemed not worthy of being stolen. I don't even blame whoever is responsible, I blame the management people for continuing to do nothing except offer bad advice that's hard to follow or tell a resident having a safe place to receive packages is a luxury anyways - yikes; guess it's not a luxury Sedegwick residents are worthy of.

If you plan to never receive packages or order food etc for delivery, I think the Sedgewick is a fine place to live for the price and location. Otherwise, get ready to lose hundreds of dollars over the course of your tenancy.
