Renter beware
I moved in during June 2023, the manager at the time was good but told me she’d be leaving soon. She was there probably 6 weeks after I moved in, and then when she left we cycled through 3-5 managers before I moved out in May 2024.
Website advertises things like WiFi, cable, dishwashers, etc included in rent/in unit…None of these things are available or included at canyon vista apartments.
I moved into an apartment that had black smears on the walls, holes in the walls, gouges and long deep... scratches in the floor, yellowed bathroom walls (supposed to be white) and so many other things. I personally cleaned the entire apartment from ceiling to floor before move out and had even filled the holes not created by me. Upon move out, the manager was 40 minutes late to do the walk through and she barely looked in the bathroom and living room.
Once I had part of my security deposit returned, I found out I was charged $230 for cleaning and shampooing. It wasn’t included in the lease or made clear to me at move in or move out, that those things would be my responsibility to pay for.
I filed through Better Business Bureau after not being contacted back by the property manager or any other management in the company I contacted. The response through BBB says that their other property offers the amenities mentioned for canyon vista and it’s valid because “we have access to both properties”. They also said I was informed of the cleaning fees, pest control was preformed monthly, and that I had been responded to by management. I have no physical proof to show that I never got a response back or that I went 4 months or longer altogether with no pest control even though I was being charged for it every month
