Grove at Temple Terrace Apartamentos

Besides the 3 am loud music and music and noisy neighbors at any hours especially at night, a generally unsafe neighborhood and management that is looking for any way to screw you this place is nice and 60 minutes from any nice beach, and located right in the middle of 2 major intersections, so rest assured traffic will be terrible 24/7.

Do not trust this place with your money! We moved out almost 8 months ago, and they still have not sent us our full security deposit that they owe us (they have admitted they owe us it). They have told us about 20 times, "The check is in the mail" and "You should receive it within 1-2 weeks" and yet it never comes! It's been almost 8 months!

Go to another apartment complex that won't lie to you and withhold hundreds of dollars from you.

As for living at the Grove, we witnessed many drug deals,... it was a regular occurrence for people to blast their music literally at 3am, we had to tell our guests not to freak out when they hear screaming outside at 5am--that was pretty regular, witnessed fights, and more. My wife and I literally laughed out loud when we saw the Grove's update website as it so inaccurately represents the apartments and life there. They boast that they have laundry a facility, yet the machines were quick frequently broken (lots of vandalism) and then they would close it completely from residents. They have a pool, but they would close that because of vandalism. They have a gym, but 75% of the time when I tried to go during the hours it was supposed to be open, it was closed. And even with all that, we completed our full 12-month lease. Lee mas

Before moving in, the staff was inconsistent when giving us information regarding the apartment. We were told we could move in any time after 10:30 am, but the cleaners were still there when arriving to move in in the afternoon. There is a lack of internal communication. When I get to speak with someone who works at the office, it's rare, considering when I call, I am transferred to a third-party number, and it takes them days to return phone calls and answer questions that could be a simple... email. The staff often gave different answers when we asked about our apartment and moving in.

After the cleaners left, the fridge was still dirty leftover from the past residents. Not only is there a crack for the a/c to escape and bugs to enter through the broken sliding glass door, but it also does not even lock. There is only a screwdriver currently keeping my glass door from getting broken into, placed by maintenance when told about the broken door. When moving in, two smoke detectors, vent covers, and three doorknobs were missing. When using the dishwasher the first time, water flooded the kitchen floor, and there is visible water damage in the cabinets. These living conditions are completely unacceptable and dangerous.

The Grove at Temple Terrace has yet to give a move-in condition form requested since picking up the keys because they did not have printer paper to print out the form when initially asked by my roommate. The person at the office said they would tape it to the front door, but that did not happen. When going to the office to ask for it again the next day, they still had no paper. After my roommate walked out, the staff locked the door and taped a sign that said "closing early" to the door.

Knowing they have a unit in this condition, terrible management closed their office when confronted by a resident living in an unsafe unit! All this company has managed to do is take our security deposit, one month's rent, and other costly fees that do not replicate the actual value of this complex. They have yet to address these issues or answer why our apartment was not ready before moving in. Note: this lease was signed well over a month before our actual move-in date; there are no excuses as to why the unit is in such horrible condition. Updates if and when The Grove at Temple Terrace can answer questions and take care of these high-priority issues. Lee mas

came here on a Friday and had a tour and it was great. Was reassured that a couple of apartments were not being applied for and to apply ASAP. I applied the same day and called the office to confirm they received my application and was told they would call back. Monday comes and nothing so we call again and once again we are told we would get a call back. We still did not receive a call back. That following Tuesday we found out through the portal that we were approved but was never notified. We... called once again and nothing. Come Wednesday morning all of the apartments including the one we applied for was gone. Once again we called to figure everything out and Once again no call but received an email later stating we were put on a waitlist. Not happy at all! Do not apply here. Lee mas

I moved in 2 months ago as I relocated to Tampa. Office people were so great and made my move in such an easy transition. Apartments have great space and closets because I love my shoes the closet space was important. Since I moved in I had 2 small maintenance concerns but the maintenance workers came out the same day and fixed my problems. I feel at home even thought I am so far away from hometown. The place is very clean and my neighbors are very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone... .
