Needs to be managed better
I've been living in the building for almost a year now. It has its issues, but overall it's ok. The leasing staff is great and very helpful with anything I need - Toni and Christine in particular are awesome! Mike with maintenance is helpful too. The building and apartment decor are high quality and very nicely designed. The amenities are great.
The issues I've had are not with the building or staff, it's mostly with the residents - the management is accepting young disrespectful residents who... are playing loud music after hours, smoking, doing drugs, not cleaning dog pee and poo and sometimes are pulling a fire alarm in the middle of the night after getting drunk - this happens at least every month, and sometimes every couple weeks. I had to call police in the middle of the night to report domestic violence in the neighbors apartment.
So sometimes this "luxury" place feels like a college dorm to me or a very low end housing. I think those are poor management issues and could be resolved with better management - screening and enforcement of rules. Most residents are good and they do great community events, but they really need to weed out those bad apples that spoil the overall impression very much. I have friends living in other competitor buildings around here and they don't have these resident issues, so it's possible to manage.
They also should invest more money into security or concierge as all competitors have that and there is no one to call after hours (supposedly, they have security, but every time I called, they never ever pick up and nowhere to be found). And invest in staff sorting packages - leaving packages outside the door in the hallway is asking for them to be stolen.
In short, they should invest more money in staffing and in enforcing the community rules, then I'd give it 5 stars. Not sure it's worth the money we are paying for rent, for this kind of money I'd expect more. But good overall, so I give it 3 stars.
