Living Standards Decline at Vivio: Persistent Issues Persist
In 2024, the management company changed, and several issues have arisen since then:
Elevator Issues: One of the elevators was out of service for approximately three weeks.
Gym Equipment: It has been one week since two of the treadmills in the gym stopped working.
Excessive Inspections: Despite paying a guarantee fee for the apartment, management conducts monthly inspections to check the cleanliness of the living room, washing machine, refrigerator, and cabinets. If these areas are deemed unclean... , residents are charged over $100.
Unreliable Security: The apartment's security number often goes unanswered, leaving residents vulnerable to safety concerns. I have personally experienced such situations multiple times over the past three months.
Common Area Hygiene: The hallways, elevators, and stairwells frequently have unpleasant odors, and the carpets in common areas are dirty.
Package Delivery Problems: Packages are placed in a designated room that remains locked. Residents can only request their packages if they receive an email from the management system, which excludes deliveries from services like Amazon or Walmart. I spent 20 minutes persuading staff to give me my own package while it was clearly sitting in their mailing room. If you don’t receive a notification through their system, there is no way to retrieve your package, even if it has been delivered. When I emailed them about this issue, their response was that this is simply "their process."
Staff Unavailability: The situation is worsened by the frequent unavailability of staff. The leasing office is sometimes closed during posted office hours, leaving no one to assist residents.
Pest Infestations: There are also issues with pests, including cockroaches and other insects, in the apartment. Although I reported this to maintenance, their method of addressing the problem was ineffective, and the pests reappeared within a week.
I enjoyed living at Vivio during my first year. However, dealing with these problems in recent months and witnessing the decline in Vivio’s standards, I can no longer recommend it to students with busy schedules.
