Haven’t been paid my security deposit.
I lived here January 2021-January 2022. While living here I had issues with car break ins, upstairs neighbor letting their dog use their balcony as a bathroom and they simply poured water and swept the waste onto my first floor patio. It smelled disgusting and was unusable. When I complained to the office 3 times nothing changed.
Once I moved out I was told I had to give a 60 day notice and that’s totally normal. Paid my fees and everything. Did not clean up the animal waste bc I didn’t have... an animal that used my outside area.
One month later I didn’t get my security deposit back. Avenue 5 told me they would investigate with the property. I followed up until today (March 29th). Finally just called the property to ask the status since Avenue 5 was not helping. Property informs me that they changed owners on February 18th, I was due to get my security deposit back on February 23rd. Avenue 5 is adamant the property has their own accounting and I must connect with them for my security deposit. Property is insisting I need to connect with Avenue 5 since that’s who managed when I paid everything. Its been over 1 month since my security deposit was due back to me.
