management slow to address problems
The apartments are fine. However, the overall consensus among the tenants is that management is slow to respond and tends to minimize problems brought to their attention. This can be anything from the laundry machines not working properly, the rails on a stairway needing to be replaced for safety reasons, or addressing a visitor parking in a non-designated area and blocking tenants' cars from being able to get in and out of the parking lot. It seems that once a lease is signed, the tenants'... concerns are overlooked as long as the monthly rent is being paid. They also use an online monthly billing service called Conservice for payment of utilities (sewer and water). The monthly service fee is $4.41, which I consider quite high. Yet I was told that there is no ability to opt out of this service. Neighbors have smoked marijuana on their balconies and smoked on the balconies, despite the lease indicating that tenants are not allowed to smoke on the property. This has led to several tenants almost getting burned when cigarette ash was falling from a second floor balcony onto a first floor balcony. Tenants who follow the rules are patronized while misbehaving tenants are tolerated and allowed to flout the rules.
