Save yourself from surprise fees ($50-100 for a surface lot with numerous break ins??)
I am torn with this review because I have loved living in this community for the past year and a half. I have even been understanding of the mishaps that come with a community that is still in development, including amenities that have still not opened (such as the gym that was promised to open almost a year ago).
That changed when they implemented a new parking “policy” in which residents will now have to pay a monthly fee of $100 for an uncovered “reserved” parking space or $50 for an... uncovered “unreserved” parking space in a surface lot (that has never been full so there is no reason to pay for parking). A surface lot where, just over a month ago, numerous cars where broken into. The response to this event was to send an email that there would be increased security presence in our parking lot… which has never happened. Every time I look into the parking lot there is no security. These spots have been free to residents for the past year and a half. This drastic change has left a sour taste in my mouth considering NOTHING has changed in that time. There have been no improvements and no added security. How is a spot that was formerly free now worth $50-100?!
In addition to the fees we will have to pay to park our own vehicles, if we have guests that come to visit us, they will also be required to pay for parking.
I had tried to resolve this issue privately by emailing the property directly with these concerns and the response I received was that they cannot change the fee but want to make sure that my concerns are heard. I will gladly make sure my concerns are heard, and will now do so publicly. I have never left a negative review in my life and hoped to never do so, but they have certainly earned the honor of being my first negative review.
There is absolutely no reason for these fees, other than greed.
Save yourself from these fees, and look elsewhere for your next apartment.
