LIVED HERE RECENTLY FOR 15 MONTHS
So everything started out well. The prices were affordable. The interior was kept up with. We had a couple things fixed upon move-in, which they did pretty quickly. The neighbors were ok (for the area). We made it cute.
But then the pandemic escalated and so did the homelessness and crime. This area is huge on crime, ESPECIALLY CAR THEFT. Nowadays, you'll hear gunshots down the block every other night. A few weeks ago, a high speed chase ended in our complex where the guy ditched the car.... Sirens are a common thing to hear. The restaurant behind our deck, next to Plaid Pantry currently houses multiple homeless people who smoke weed and are loud all throughout the day. Other people bring stolen cars in the back of the restaurant to part them out. We called the police multiple times when we moved in, but it got so bad that we just didn't call anymore.
You'll hear things outside your window in the middle of the night. Screeching tires, car races, arguments in the parking lot, gunshots, homeless people screaming, homeless blaring their stereos, homeless going through our dumpster and throwing things around, etc.
We finally had enough and moved out. While we were moving out, other residents noticed and told us they were moving as well.
So while the apartments are decent, the area is very scary and you are always worried about your car and the homeless people around you.
It's sad that it came to this. The apartments have a lot of potential... maybe some day...
