Brighton Court - Lehigh Valley Railroad Building
Brighton Court Apartments in what was once the headquarters of the Lehigh Valley Railroad are beautiful, high-ceilinged dwellings with a ton of charm. Every apartment in the building (there are 32 or so) is slightly different. Maintenance services are quick to respond and very helpful. A few things to know before you move in: while the high ceilings are great, they can mean high electric bills for heat in winter if you don't keep a careful eye on the thermostat. Also, the building is immediately... adjacent to the railroad tracks, which means that you'll get an earful of the passing freight trains blowing their horns several times a day. You can only use one cable/internet service (Service Electric). Also, Brighton St. is a one-way street that can only be accessed directly from 378 South. Nonetheless, the apartments in the Lehigh Valley Railroad Building are an excellent example of updated vintage living and an excellent value for the money.
