Dakota Pointe's Decline Under New Management Leads to Unsanitary Conditions
I lived at Dakota Pointe for almost four years, and I must say, the experience went downhill when Cornerstone Residential bought out the place. They seemed to stop caring about the residents entirely.
One of the most frustrating things was the lack of enforcement of policies in the apartment complex. People let their dogs defecate on the sidewalks and grass areas without consequence. The maintenance of the apartment also suffered greatly.
The management started charging a "fee" for snow... removal, but the actual snow removal efforts were minimal. Many residents complained that they couldn't even walk or get out of the apartment safely during snowy conditions.
The hallways were consistently dirty, and it seemed like they were only cleaned once a year. There was a persistent smell of dog waste and marijuana in the building, making the living conditions unpleasant.
To top it off, there were rumors circulating that the management was intentionally increasing rent to push people out of the apartment, with plans to increase it even more in the future.
Furthermore, there was one incident where my wife lost her keys. I purchased a new set, and when she went to ask the manager for them, they hesitated and displayed a disrespectful attitude.
Overall, Dakota Pointe, under Cornerstone Residential's management, was the greediest and most unethical apartment I've ever lived in. I would strongly advise against anyone staying in this apartment complex.
