Flooding
I’ve been here since the complex opened, and it has gone downhill since then. The only reason I have stayed is because I was grandfathered in with my rent, which did not go up as much as what it would cost to move somewhere else. The biggest issue is that even though I live on the second floor, every single floor will have flooding during a Highwind storm, such as with a tropical storm or hurricane. There is no cover over the dryer vents in the rain blows in these vents in the flooding will come... out of the walls and ruin all of your furniture in the room closest to the dryer vent . It’s an unbelievable amount of water. I have told management and ownership about this issue and they refuse to address it. You can see mold growing in the hallways, so I’m sure it’s all threw out all of the buildings walls but I haven’t done any testing to confirm that. They won’t cover the dryer vents, but they invest money and drainage systems and things like this which probably has something to do with the resale value, but there has been no interest in fixing the actual problem, which are the dryer vents. Literally every apartment on my side of the building Has flooded all throughout the walls, so badly during hurricane Ian that it was leaking out into the inner hallways, meaning that over 20 foot of wall was flooded. There was probably enough water to fill up my bathtub a couple times over and I’m on the second floor . I would not move here. Again, the only reason I’m still here is because my rates were grandfathered in and had minimal increases even with that said, I’m likely to move soon.
