Complex fails to abide by lease agreements
*update as of 10/2024: Manager, Lisa, and assistant manager, Sherri, both have said they will reach out to the roofing company and get back to me. Yet don’t return emails when they say the will, my roof is still leaking and the bedroom wall is turning discolored from continuous months of water damage. They have shown no interest in sending anyone to check for mold.
*update 9/2024: the water coming into the apartment has worsened and is coming through my walls as well. The manager and assistant... manager have not answered my emails and now place my maintenance requests on hold. It’s been a terrible experience recently with this new management and their neglectfulness of serious issues renters have.
Unfortunately, the complex has gone downhill in the recent months. The new management has put little to no effort in addressing the issues current residents have, and have thus far lacked the ability to be abiding lease agreements. I have had a water leak into my apartment bedroom through the roof since June. I have submitted numerous maintenance requests, called continually and spoken to the manager and assistant manager many times and still have had no resolution whatsoever. The manager and assistant manager stated my two options were to stay in my current apartment and they would “expedite” repairs, this was several week ago and still nothing has been resolved. Or I could move into a new apartment, with no guarantee on pricing (meaning my rent would most likely be raised) and I would be forcing myself into a brand new 12 month lease when they couldn’t fix the roof damages or abide by the current signed lease I’m under. The water damage has continued to worsen, and I fear for mold growth in the area as it has been wet for 90+ days and they’ve sent no one to look for this issue and have shown no concern in the potential health hazard this could cause. It’s incredibly disappointing as I had no issues with the previous management company, but now go circles with the manager and assistant manager trying to get a resolution to water leaking into my bedroom every time it rains. This is incredibly frustrating, with false narratives told to me by management promising it will be fixed, and how important their renter relationships are, yet how negligent they have remained during this whole ordeal and continue to be. be mindful of renting here that major issues are not addressed, leases are not followed, and management has been no help in trying to come to a resolution.
