Mold, shady people.

If you like mold and shady management companies then this is the place for you. Everything about this places screams unprofessional, outdated and land lord special. The cure all is to just paint the counters, paint over the mold etc..1 out of 5 stars.

Avoid!

Do not go by the looks of the place. This is an old apartment complex with lots of maintenance issues. Staff is not very helpful. Sprinkler system leaves a nasty smell for hours. To top things off just received a notice that the trash collection fee is increasing by $5 for each unit.

Will not live here ever again!!!!!!!!

In my 14 years of leasing, I have never rewritten a bad review on any one of the places I have lived, but with Heritage Deerwood, I have no choice but to warn others. I agree with the other writers on the issues they faced. I lived in this condo for three years with my family. My experience with the management was horrible. When I renewed my lease they wanted me to sign away any right to my deposit BAD SIGN. They never took care of the condo while we lived there, but expected the condo to have... no sign of wear or tear. The management charged a ridiculous amount for clean up such as $50 for two small boxes and a small pile of trash we left when we moved. A $100 for cabinets that had scuff marks and small particles of debris left on them. My husband spent two days cleaning the entire condo before we moved. Now I understand why they had a hard time getting tenants and why they offer a $99 special for move-in. I will not recommend this establishment to my enemy. Lease at your own expenses. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible place and terrible staff

Terrible experience! The owners and management staff are not reasonable, they are in it ONLY for the money. I moved in in August. About a month after I moved in their outdoor pool was having problems and the pool was closed for a week. It was then reopened and within about another week their pool filter building burnt to the ground (guess they didn't fix what was broken). The pool was closed for 8 months until I moved out. I planned on using the pool a lot. During the cooler months I... would have loved to use the hot tub. The pool being closed for 8 months was inexcusable especially considering they could have worked on it during all of those 8 months. After 8 months all they said was they were trying to get prices for the repair and haven't received permits yet to fix it. 8 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!! Here is where they added insult to injury. At the end of my lease I asked for my final month payment to be reduced by 100$ because I had been without the hot tub and pool for 8 months. I thought this was the least they could do and they should have done this for everyone. The fact that I had to ask was bad enough, but the response I received back simply stated they would not offer any easement for the pool facilities being out of order for 8 months. This shows just how much they desperately want your money. Who knows, maybe they are going bankrupt?

They use reclaimed water to water their premises. They water at least 2 or 3 times a day. Every time they water the whole area smells like rotten eggs. I lived on the second story and if I had the windows open my whole apartment would reek of rotten eggs. I feel bad for people living on the first floor. It was disgusting! They have you put your trash outside. Most people put trash out the night before and I get a terrible smell of trash if my bedroom windows were opened until the next day.

My apartment was on the second floor and was over 3 garages. I didn't realize how much noise each garage would make and how much it shook the room! Stupidly, it was the bedrooms and living room over the garages. I could NOT sleep past 5:45am during the weekdays because of the people below my bedroom using the garages. The garages would go up and down regularly at least 4 times in the morning and sometimes up to 10 times each morning. You couldn't sleep through this because of the noise and how much the floor shook!

I would never renew my lease and found a place much nicer and considerably more affordable.
