Cascade Link at Douglas Apartments

Overall a good building with nice amenities and a convenient location next to Metrorail stop. Management and maintenance have been responsive when issues arise. Periodic tenant appreciation gatherings and breakfasts have been a nice touch. Sometimes can't open sliding glass door on nice evenings because of marijuana smells from nearby balconies. A high percentage of UMiami students live at Cascade Link. Parking rules have become stupid since Metropolis took over management of garage (i.e.,... tenants can't park on mid or lower floors and can't back into spaces). I recently moved out of Cascade because of the constant rain damage to the building. On top of them re-doing the damaged floors from flooding and having practically the entire building have to move out after 1 day of bad ran, I had silver fish bugs all over the floors all the time and I was the first person to live in my unit and kept it very very clean. Do not live here if you are looking for a luxury building.

Kristin and Cole are absolutely amazing and made everything such a breeze. The pool is great and location is pretty nice. However, this building has been a constant struggle. The place is literally falling apart. Constant water damage in over 90 units along with soaked floor boards and mold in the walls. They literally shut off the water in the entire building and offered you a shower in a neighboring property. No running water for days one of them being over the Thanksgiving holiday. This place... is nice but I would beware of the constant issues this building faces. My neighbors have had massive damages to their furniture due to the water leaks that happen whenever it rains. The building is pretty great however it feels like some things are still being worked out here. The people working here are so lovely and it is always clean. I do wish the windows were double pained so you couldn’t hear the metro and noise from outside so much, we are on the 14th floor and can hear everything. Matinance is relatively quick to respond and have overall enjoyed living here so far, I just wish it was a little more quiet.
