Great Location, Poor Management
I lived at The Strand for two years. Overall, the apartment was nice, with good amenities and a great location near the park and nearby restaurants. However, noise was a significant issue—if you're sensitive to it or work from home, I’d recommend choosing a top-floor unit, as the walls are quite thin.
My biggest frustration was the way management handled a termite infestation in my unit. They showed complete indifference to the emotional distress it caused me. The situation became so severe... that termites were flying around my bedroom and shedding their wings all over my belongings. I couldn’t sleep in my own room or comfortably leave my things out. Despite this, it took management four weeks to develop a treatment plan, during which I was left in the dark. They downplayed the issue, dismissing the termites as "unsightly but harmless," and failed to offer any solutions, accommodations, or compensation for the extreme stress, inconvenience, and disruption to my living situation.
While the apartment itself has its perks, the lack of care and support from management during such a serious issue was deeply disappointing.
I can't post pictures here, but see Google reviews for images of how bad the situation got.
