Move-in Process-Frustrating to say the least
Rent is not the advertised price, they have a mandatory additional fee of at least $95 a month for trash service and other miscellaneous fees, plus you pay your metered water/sewer. Just moved in yesterday, well sort of. The property manager that sold me on the property is no longer with the company. The new property manager is basically useless. I was told that I would be getting a fully renovated apartment with over the stove microwave, new cabinets, new flooring. Yeah, none of that... happened. Was told that the unit was still being worked on my maintenance the morning of move-in and that I would be able to move-in later in the day. Thankfully, I did not hire movers as they would have charged me for whatever time they had to wait. This apartment was reserved several weeks ago and I can pretty much guarantee they did nothing to the unit until the morning of move in. The unit was NOT cleaned prior to move in, refrigerator was not running because the plug was installed incorrectly, A/C was not cooling, there is paint splatter all over the plank flooring, dents & dings in flooring and walls, flat paint was used to cover the patches in the walls and they refused to repaint those areas with the high gloss paint used on the rest of the walls, there is red marker in the living room on the floor, outdoor storage unit doesn't lock or even close all the way, mail box key doesn't work and was not provided with a working one before the office closed for the weekend. I was told to email pictures and they would make note of it so at move out I was not held responsible for them. I have moved many, many times and I have NEVER EVER experienced such unprofessional behavior. I will be contacting corporate as this is unacceptable.
