Twin Oaks at Southwood

When I moved in two years ago, what sold me on Twin Oaks was it's Southwood location and the big green spaces for my dog to be able to walk. After having been there a few years, I can say that one of the best things is being in a 2nd floor apartment and not having anyone above me since the buildings are only two stories, so I don't hear people walking above my head at night. The other thing I really appreciate is being able to park outside my front door and walk straight into my unit from my own… ground floor entrace -- it makes it a lot easier to bring in the groceries. I love living at Twin Oaks. Mike the rest of the staff are great and they do the small things like letting a cleaner in the apartment when I'm away at work. I also love being able to walk to work at the State Office Building. If you want quiet and lots of green spaces, this is the place for you.

You should know that while they price this apartment like it is a "luxury" apartment, the cost of utilities will actually bring that up by quite a bit because most of the appliances are at the end of their natural lifetimes, especially since most of them rarely get serviced. I've lived here for about four years and I can tell you nobody does regular maintenance on the appliances, the only maintenance they do is when there is something wrong and they will usually find a bandaid for that problem… if they can avoid a more expensive or comprehensive fix. 1/1 bottom floor apartment with average utilities between 200-250 a month! I lived here from 2019-2021. Southwood is very safe. The management was always wonderful to me. Any maintenance requests I made, were handled within one business day. My neighbors were mostly young families and all very kind to me. The trails are also another amazing resource.
