BUYER BEWARE!

This is the review I wish I would've read before moving from out-of-state to these apartments! First I must say the price of rent for the proximity to Downtown Atlanta is almost unbeatable. With that being said, you most definitely get what you pay for. The neighborhood is run down with most businesses near by being permanently closed. It is honestly depressing driving into the neighborhood seeing all of the boarded windows and vacated buildings. The pictures shown on the community website... are extremely deceiving as there are probably less than 20% of "upgraded" apartments as shown. I toured an upgraded apartment but was leased an older unit. I was told that there are no more upgraded apartments but wouldn't be able to see my actual unit until the week of my move. Again, moving from out-of-state, I had no choice but to accept the older unit. While moving in, within the first hour, the first roach appeared. This would be a long-lasting problem throughout my entire lease. I was told exterminators would come but none ever came. Keeping your apartment clean and spraying on your own is no match for these pests as the buildings are infested. Speaking with neighbors who have lived in the apartments for years, this seems to be their biggest complaint. I was honestly too embarrassed to have guests and had to take extreme measures while moving out to ensure that I did not travel with them! There was not much noise as my building was mostly inhabited by senior citizens which was nice. They were all extremely kind and welcoming which is also why I am giving this place 1 star vs 0. My car never experienced a break-in here though some neighbors did. The leasing office has unreasonable hours (most likely due to a staffing shortage) as there are never the same people working here for more than 3 months. Any problems must be handled in person because calling is not an option so be prepared to take off from work to meet an actual person between the hours of 11AM-2PM. (On any given day they are closed without notice or reasoning). My apartment did not require much maintenance but my front door had a hole that was barley fixed, still allowing for insects to crawl into my apartment. My tub was resurfaced but peeled immediately the week after which made it look horrible throughout my entire stay. If you've made it to the end of this review, pay the extra money to stay somewhere else. It is not worth the headache and you will be actively looking for a new place!

Not a good place to live especially if you have children

There are too many shootings in the complex and management never addresses it with the residents, just tries to brush it under the rug. Management also adds on random fees that make no type of sense.

Management is terrible

The phone is disconnected and you can’t get in touch with a human being in the leasing office to save your life. I’ve been trying to lease an apt from them for 2 months now and still no reply whatsoever.

I should’ve listened to the reviews

They NEVER answer their phones. I drove 50 minutes to apply for an apartment, only to find out, it was appointment based only. Which was fine. The front desk worker said I had to wait 30 days before applying. Which is weird. Made an appointment to apply for the apartment. Two days before my appointment, I called to see if anyone missed an appointment, so I could take their spot. Turns out the apartment I was scheduled to apply for was preleased. What a waste of time!

bad sign maybe?

They NEVER answer the phone. I live out of state & have been trying to get in contact with someone for a week to see if my application was approved or denied. Not a good look people
