When longer stays is requested, that includes Winter & other peak season periods, the rate will be averaged out & reflect the higher rates. Rental stays of 1-5 months is Short Term and requires the payment of TAT(Transient Accommodation Tax) rate of 13.25%, In addition to GET (General Excise Tax), rate of 4.712%. (Total Taxes 17.962%).

Rental stays of 6 months and longer is Long Term & only requires the payment of GET and an agreed scheduled quarterly cleaning.

Note: GET & TAT rates are subject to change at any time per State of Hawaii tax (& its other counties) rules.
