Fairhaven Village Apartments

I moved in thinking it was close to work and my daughter's school, even though it was really small. There is a lot of noise all hours of the day, they will literally come into your apartment whenever they want, even when you are not home, with no notice. Parking is a chore, there's garbage all over the property and the dumpster is usually overflowing every week because they don't pick up as often as they should. I have had an exterminator in the apartment for the past 3 years and still get water... bugs, roaches, and other assorted bugs and my apartment is spotless. After I got here I realized just how run down the place is. The common areas are run down, the laundry room machines work whenever they want, and they just increased the prices. The office staff is unhelpful, if you can ever get in touch with them, and don't ever try to escalate anything work-order related; the management is hostile at best. Just moved in Hrs ago and saw 3 roaches already ??

I was able to put up with the roaches, loud neighbors and water being shut off on a weekly basis for three years. It's a cheap apartment and you get what you pay for.

What I couldn't get past was being charged 80% of my security deposit for the standard cleaning that is done between occupants. I cleaned the apartment before I left and they sent me a few photos of some small things I missed (dust on the fridge, floor needed to be re-swept after the move) and charged me over $400.

When I... called to dispute the charges, I was given an incorrect definition of "normal wear and tear" and told I was possibly too excited for my new apartment to clean adequately.

Luckily, I am in a situation where I can afford to be robbed of $400 but I'm assuming many of the residents here are not.

This place has roaches. They will never tent it and their "extermination" efforts are measley at best, usually causing me to see MORE roaches for several days. I have to kill about 5 every time I turn on the lights. DO NOT RENT HERE. THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF THE LEASE.
