Great Area, Lovely Management
I've lived at 4241 N. Kenmore for 5 years now and I am overall extremely satisfied with the experience. I lived in one of the 375 Sq Ft Studio apartments during this time and it was perfect for me while I was attending school downtown. The building is well maintained and the building manager Kalia and her husband do a wonderful job taking care of things including decorating the public areas and signing for/collecting packages to prevent the wrong people from taking them.
The space itself is... great. A large square to maximize space with a little inlet for the kitchen and the bathroom. Water pressure is good and the maintenance is timely and do a wonderful job in fixing the few problems that cropped up. The view is nothing special. I get to stare at the lovely brick wall at the building next to this one, but for the price it was well worth the sacrifice of scenery. One potential negative is that the walls/floors/ceilings are pretty thin, so if you are sensitive to noise like me you will hear other people's television and music on occasion. Fortunately, the building manager is very good at handling noise complaints.
Buena Park is a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to the Red Line with buses that will take you to the Brown and Blue lines as well. A super Target is very close by along with a Jewel-Osco for all of your shopping needs. There are a few bars and family owned restaurants that are absolute must trys and it's a nice walk to some nice beaches including the Wilson Dog beach if that's your thing.
