Very poor Heating

The 1 bedroom apartments are of decent size and come with a nice view. Bus stop is nearby and so are many grocery stores.
The major drawback is that the place remains cold in winter. The heating is non-existing.

Nice and safe place with friendly people neighbors and Manager Minira is very helpful

I have been living here for the past one year. Overall maintenance requests get processed and resolved quickly. The credit for this goes to the property manager Minira. I have had a couple of issues and as soon as I contacted her she made sure that things got taken care of.
She is easy to work with and I have a good professional experience with her.
I recently moved to another apartment in the complex as my previous apartment was small and she was happy to show me the available apartments and...
allowed me to take time before I decided which one I should move into.
She also helped me in finding a good person who helped me with my move-in.
She has to manage the entire property and as far as I can see she has good managing skills. The staff is friendly and I would say overall a decent and safe place to live.

Roaches n Poor heating

I lived here for about a year and a couple of months, but I have had nothing but terrible experiences with management and this building. Initially, I was drawn to this place because of the view and location, but after a couple of months, I started realizing how terrible it is. I have had to deal with a persistent issue of roaches throughout my entire tenancy. I consistently brought this up as an issue, but the last time I complained, they tried to issue a notice claiming my apartment was dirty.... I have never lived with roaches in my life, and for them to blame me for the issue when the whole building is infested is ridiculous. Even the exterminator has problems with the building management and says they are making significant mistakes with chemical treatments.

Moreover, when the polar vortex hit, their entire heating system did not work. I had to sleep under five covers, fully clothed, and was very uncomfortable. I pay a lot in rent, and for my heat not to work is unacceptable. Their solution was to give me a cheap portable heater to warm up my room. If this doesn't tell you what kind of building this is, then good luck living here. I was asleep when they dropped off the heater in my apartment, which means they think it's okay to enter without respecting privacy and safety.

In conclusion, the building management doesn't care about its residents, and the building is absolutely terrible. I would think twice before moving here because they obviously won't address their roach and heating problems. I still live here, but I plan on breaking my lease right away.

Fantastic View

In a one bedroom facing east on the 8th floor, fantastic view. Not rehabbed which sucks, and the windows aren't new, but they are in the process of replacing all of the windows, which is fantastic. In love with the view of the lake and i love the neighborhood and how its easy to get downtown, (147 express bus stops right outside the doors). Great place, management and doors people are great when you get to know them. All around great.
