Parc Huron Apartments

I moved to Chicago 2 months ago and the first face I saw when I moved was Sylvester at the front desk, he not only made me feel welcome but greeted me as if I were family, he makes my day every time I come to the lobby! The leasing staff are equally incredible, they are SO kind and remember little details people typically forget about you. Sam and Nelson (the maintenance guys) are incredible! They are quick, efficient, and super helpful! We are so grateful for all they do for us!

(12/09/2021): As I write this review, there is no hot water in the whole building since yesterday and one of the only two elevators serving almost 200 units is down for maintenance yet again.

Parc Huron was not worth the cost. They close amenities that you're paying for without reducing the monthly rent. While the door staff was fantastic, management was unfortunately very rude. I was once told it was my fault that the rent charge was less than the usual amount and it was my responsibility to make sure they didn't charge me less. Numerous maintenance issues - my heat broke twice, had a faulty light fixture and the fridge water dispenser broke 3 different times. Lastly, I can only... speak to my floor, but the building continuously allowed parties to be thrown during quarantine that would loudly go past midnight. The building is fantastic (great finishes, pretty good amenities, immaculately clean and well kept) and the staff are all incredibly warm and friendly but the units are a bit overpriced even for this pricey neighborhood. One of the biggest thorns in my side is the elevator. Thankfully we don't live at the very top but if you're on floor 15 , add another 20-30 minutes to your commute every day waiting for one of the two elevators (and often one is out of service either mechanically or because... it is reserved for someone moving in or out). Overall, this is a great first apartment building for someone new to Chicago but we've found that we are looking to get more for our money and be in a neighborhood with some character. Read More
