Upshore Residences

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel future residents deserve to know what my experience at Upshore Apartments was like.

Since the current management took over, communication and professionalism have noticeably declined. Throughout my move-out process, I encountered issue after issue that could have been avoided with basic organization and communication.

I reserved the moving dolly in advance, yet no one was available to provide it when I arrived, causing a significant delay. While I... was actively moving, maintenance also took the dolly I was using. On moving day, vendors completely blocked the alleyway and loading dock, forcing my movers to work around them and making an already stressful move even more difficult. Instead of taking responsibility, management repeatedly made excuses rather than acknowledging the inconvenience caused.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t an isolated incident. During my time here, I experienced ongoing communication issues, a lack of accountability, and poor follow-through. Every concern seemed to be met with an explanation instead of a solution.

The building itself has potential, but good management is what makes an apartment feel like home, and that was consistently lacking in my experience.

If you’re considering moving here, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about management responsiveness and how resident concerns are handled before signing a lease. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Upshore Apartments. Read More

Prior to moving to Upshore Chapter, I was reluctant, because there seemed to be so much turnover and confusion with the Property Management team per online reviews. It was very difficult to even contact the leasing office to try schedule a tour. Even now, communication is difficult, with there being limited office hours and nobody available Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. It is my hope that additional office staff or a night security guard could be hired in the future. On a positive note,... Hector has been exceptional since day one, going beyond his maintenance duties by assisting with my move-in on his day off and consistently supporting residents with various issues.

Despite the difficulty in reaching the leasing office, the maintenance and cleanliness of the building have been exceptional. Coming from a Property Management background, I understand that complaints are common, so I wanted to commend the maintenance team and the upkeep of the building. Initially, I had concerns about leasing at Upshore. I had two tours - one was conducted the day before I moved in so that I could see the actual unit I would be moving into. The building itself is beautiful and I loved the units I toured. I was mostly concerned about safety. However, the property agent I spoke with answered all of my questions and provided much clarity. Upshore Management and Maintenance are completely incompetent

It is a great place to live, there are so many great things about the amenities. location can be scary at times but the safety at the building is very good. located in a convenient place with grocery and train lines near by and you have the lake in walking distance.
