In response to a past tenant review:
I am writing in response to a review from a previous complaint from a tenant.
I have lived at Knoxville Manor since 2006 in two different locations within the complex. Seems you are complaining of the heat, of which you physically do not pay for. It comes included in the rent. We have never been too cold from a basement apartment to a first floor, chilly or cold has never been an issue. The type of heat is "steam" heat, and is great for allergies and such because it does not create extra dust... in your home.
As for as repairs, living here as long as I have... Yes, there have been a few times I've had to call maintenance. But the maintenance man has been very efficient and effective when attending to any issues. Most recently, a backed up sink on a Saturday night...and was fixed within the hour. Also had an issue with our refrigerator, and other than waiting 3 days for the part-which is out of maintenance hands at that point... There was nothing he could do. We were offered a refrigerator from another apartment? to utilize in the meantime.
As I have not moved from Knoxville Manor, nor do I wish to, I can not speak about the issue of not returning your deposit... But, I can say--- if you leave it better than you found it... which is how I was taught.. then it should not be an issue. I know from other tenants they have received their full deposit in return.
I am a firm believer in you making your place of residence a home. And I have done that with Knoxville Manor. I've had neighbors become friends. And have made this a home. I have always felt safe and secure with this bring my home. Please don't let one "bad" review keep you from becoming a tenant here. This review does not reflect what Knoxville Manor is about.
