Decent Value

For the money, the townhomes are a good value. In comparison to other apartment buildings in downtown Indianapolis, you’re not charged half to death just due to location. VanRooy Properties is a terrific management company and my hats off to the maintenance staff here. They are extremely responsive and terrific to work with. The townhomes, while small, utilize the space well and is ideal for students due to its proximity to IUPUI. The washer dryer in unit at the townhomes is a great bonus. ... Newer appliances, vinyl flooring and crown molding throughout. My only criticism is in the past couple of years I’ve been here, and it’s been five for the record, the landscaping and outside maintenance hasn’t been kept up the way it used to be. Unsure why, but there it is. There’s a massive spider issue here as well as ants. So, when you see the bushes and think they’re decorating early for Halloween, they’re not, they just haven’t been spraying for bugs. Exterior security lighting is also an issue. Due to increased crime in the area, this is an important point that I hope they address for their future residents. Parking here is great, and the utilities run approximately $85 a month combined for both electric and gas. Keep the thermostat at energy efficient temps and you should be fine. For the record that’s 78 for summer, 68 for winter. All around decent place to live.
