We are here from out of town to tour apartments. We had a 10:00 am appointment with management and they did not show up or call to cancel the appointment. We sat in the lobby which smelled musty and like trash.

I have lived all over the USA. I moved to Penn Street towers and regretted it the first day. I could hear my upatairs neighbors, downstairs, next door and down the halls. I was able to hear conversations, flushing, music, barking, loud footsteps, children screaming. There is no insulation between walls and floors. The building smells terrible and the windows don't open. The facility is an old decrepit office building. I had to break lease.I wish they had -stars, it would be -10.Not fit for human... life.It is probably about as quiet as a crack house.

Penn Street Tower is a great place to live if you want prime location in Indianapolis. Located right off of the circle you are literally walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, and shops among other things. The building has been recently renovated so all the units are basically brand new and have energy efficient appliances. The only downside is that there aren't a ton of amenities. We have a communal room with a ping pong table, a gym with limited equipment, and a bike room if you have... one. Essentially location is the biggest upside of these apartments.

I have the honor of being the first official tenant of PST and I have to say it's been a terrific 3 months so far. Couldn't ask for a better apartment. Between walking, bikeshare and BlueCars, you are literally 15 minutes or less from EVERYTHING.
Pros: Handsome old building exterior. Clean, modern interior. Quiet, relatively sound-proof - no partiers. Great downtown view. Attentive maintenance (had 2 minor issues that were fixed quickly). Tech savvy leasing office - you can do everything online... .
Cons: No freight elevator for large furniture. Cabinetry can be a bit on the fragile side. Can't open the windows.
The pros definitely make up for the cons, and though a bit on the pricey side, you do get what you pay for. But in a good way.
