Bugs, but otherwise okay
I've lived on the property for about a year and a half now. I lived in a one-bedroom for about 6 months and it always smelled like weed and old cigarettes. Especially the hallway leading to the apartment. I could smell when my neighbor was smoking because it would seep through the walls (I'm not complaining about the walls. Due to the age of the building, thin walls are normal). After that apartment, my boyfriend and I moved to a two-bedroom apartment for more space and found it much nicer than... the one-bedroom. It was much quieter and our neighbors were more considerate to smoke outside. The bug problem was much worse however. There's a new company that sprays the apartments each month and so far it's much more effective than the previous company. We still see roaches every day in the kitchen and sometimes in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We've even tried to spray the cabinets ourselves once or twice to fight the bug problem, but it didn't help except to disturb them.
I think if Bridgepointe keeps this new contract for spraying for bugs that the problem will go away in some time. If there wasn't a bug problem, we probably would have stayed here longer. We're not gross people; we take our trash out when it's full, wash our dishes (the dishwasher is where a lot of bugs will hide), and sweep if there's food on the floors. The biggest problem is in the closet off the kitchen where the water heater is. We think they come through the plumbing or something.
