Unable to move in

Signed a lease starting October 1 and was told 2 weeks prior to move in that construction was “behind” and not able to move in on scheduled date. 2 weeks! Have sold home and have to be out of house October 5th. They say apartments will be ready Nov. 1st now but no guarantee. I wonder how many ppl had given their 30 day notices and now have nowhere to go. This is exceedingly unprofessional and inconsiderate as it displaces people. They had to know a month ago it wouldn’t be done on time. Had I... known, I would not have accepted offer on house and scheduled closing for October 5th.

Not completed on time

Have a lease beginning October 1st. Was told 2 weeks prior to move in that building is not completed, and it will now be November 1st- however they won't guarantee that. Have sold home and have to be out by October 5th, with no place to go. Extremely unprofessional when it comes to telling tenants they now have no place to move to 2 weeks prior to the move. Had I been given 30 days or so of notice, I would not have accepted an offer on the house. I cannot imagine how many headaches they have... caused for the other tenants as well. How many people gave their 30 day notice and now have no where to go?
