This vintage house was built in the 1890’s. It contains 3 apartments.
This cozy 2 bedroom apartment is in the front of the house. It has a cute little private front porch with a swing. The living room has a wood floor, ceiling fan, and window A/C... unit. There is a half wall that divides the living room from the corridor style kitchen that has light oak cabinets, a stove, refrigerator, and a dishwasher.
Both bedrooms have large double closets and ceiling fans. One bedroom has a wood floor and old fireplace that looks cool, but does not work. The other bedroom has wall to wall carpeting.
The bathroom has a pedestal sink, a tub shower combination, and a built-in linen cabinet.
Off the living room you can enter a hall that leads to one of the bedrooms, bathroom and the washer dryer stack unit. The apartments are separately metered, has a forced air gas furnace, and off street parking. There are 2 spaces for parking behind the house.
It is conveniently located walking distance to KU, Dillons Grocery Store and the downtown area with many restaurants and shops.
Nonsmoking units
Application fee is $60, upon approval $40 goes towards your deposit!
Tenants pay utilities.
Security deposit is equal to a month's rent.
Spayed/Neutered Cats and Dogs are welcome with pet rent and pet deposit. (All dogs must be crated when tenant is not home) (Dogs are subject to weight restrictions)
Showings are by appointment only. M-F, 10 AM - 7 PM. We do not show Saturday and Sunday. The house, licensed by the city, is locally owned and managed by the Schneider family (serving Lawrence tenants for 37+ years).
Financial Requirement: Each applicant must prove they have 4x's the entire rent (for the unit) in permanent income, or applicant must have a Guarantor, who lives in the continental United States, and owns real estate in the continental United States. We must be able to verify that the Guarantor owns the property through the county where the real estate is located. All applicants must qualify on their own/ independent of co-applicants (no applicant may share a Guarantor). All applicants must have at least 3 years of consecutive rental history otherwise the applicant is required to have a Guarantor.
