Worst Apartment Ever

I moved into this complex due to short lease term while trying to buy a house, and location. Worst decision ever. I was in a third floor apartment in which my air conditioner broke over 10 times in 14 months, and heater broke twice. One of the times my air conditioner was broke for 2 weeks in the middle of July, and I have a child and cats. Emergency maintenance is an absolute joke, I called on multiple occasions for air conditioner, fridge problems, leaks, tub issues and clogged drains and I... never once had a call returned or help immediately, I what’s had to wait until the next business day to get in touch with the office. They talk about updates, but my building had half the carpet replaced in the hallway and then nothing, same with painting of the walls. There were countless times I went to or called the office during normal business hours and they were not open. Leaving messages is also a joke, as they will not be returned. The office lady Luisa will take messages for the manager Debbie, but calls are never returned. The “new carpet” in my unit was coming up everywhere when I moved in and I had to have them come nail it down on two separate occasions, one of which it was not nailed down properly and my daughter cut her foot. Through all of this, when completing my lease I was told I would be getting my full deposit back (minus pet deposit which they told me at original signing would be refundable and the lease says nothing of it being non refundable), and I moved out July 31st. After months of trying to work with the complex itself about my deposit(minus the help of the office manager Debbie who NEVER returns calls), I was told that everything was sent to corporate and there was nothing they could do. After two months of calling and emailing corporate to still no avail, I am currently in the process of filing a civil lawsuit against the property and the management company.

In short, this is hands down the worst place I have EVER lived, and would never recommend this place to anyone.

PLEASE READ

I have been here about 2 weeks or so. It has been fine up until I came home yesterday evening from work (Tue 7/11/17)to grab my phone bill money and pay my bill before they closed. When i got home I came to find they (some maitenance or a/c people from cedarbrook) had came into my appartment without notifying me to change out a thermostat. Since I was not aware anyone would be in the appartment , I left my phone bill money on the microwave. Of course, the money is not there. I went straight to... the office to find a trainee. She apologized and said she would have the manager contact me. Later that evening the manager came to my appartment regarding the non wprking a/c after the thermostat was changed, but not to address money missing. I brought it up and she said she would ask him tommorow and see what kind of face he made.... weird. Then today when i talked to her, she said the worker told her he would never do that... obviously anyone would say that. She said i could make a police report. Now what good is a police report going to do for my phone bill? Its not. Also, does my home feel secure knowing they will just come in whenever without notice? No. But i am now in a year lease . I am short $300 . And know now that they have the freedom to come to my home whenever. VERY dissapointing. They simply do not care. If anyone knows what i can do to get the money back, or management I can contact, please let me know. We dont all make a bunch of money, and $300 gone is a big deal for me. Very sad they were not concerned, didnt watch cameras, or try to do ANYTHING.

Very large rooms

I was very impressed with how large the bedrooms were. In general the living space is just a lot more than you would think you would get for the price under 600 rent. Didn't have any serious issues while in the 2yrs i was there. I would recommend. Office staff is super friendly.

Clubhouse is awesome. Big comfy chairs, big TVs, pool table and fitness center.
