Save Money, Get a Tent
By the third year of living here, my rent had increased over 25%. The appliances are outdated by at least 20 years. The dishwasher would overflow consistently. Things like air vent covers and smoke detectors would literally just fall off from time to time. The walls are so thin that you can hear your next door neighbors having intercourse or watching tv. My car got broken into no less than a dozen times in the three years i was here. The cheap new speed bumps they put in are so bad that damage... to your car’s shocks is inevitable over time. There is no in-unit laundry and the laundry mat usually has at least half of its washers “in repair” so there are rarely more than two or three washers working at a time for the entire complex. Many of the dryers simply don’t work without any warning before you’ve already paid for it. The final straw was the treatment after i moved out. I’m a flooring installer, so i replaced the contractor grade carpet in the living room with hardwood flooring (a job that would cost around $2500 between the materials and labor) for free. I kept the old carpet and offered to re install it when i moved back but they refused to promise to give my deposit back. So i left it, not wanting to do the labor and still not receive my deposit. I not only didn’t get my deposit back but i was also charged an additional $450, which included over $300 to clean the tub and stove that i had already cleaned before leaving. The location is convenient and the maintenance crew is great but those are the only good qualities that i can name about this place. I’ve never taken the time to give a negative review of anything in my life, but i created this account for the sole purpose of letting anyone that may be apartment shopping know that i could not recommend this place any less. You’re better off getting a tent and saving your money.
