Unhappy with recent changes
While I love living here, there have been some changes made in the past year that cause me to no longer love the apartment as much.
1. The new printer situation sucks. Most current residents signed their leases with "free" printing as an amenity. Bayonne knew this would appeal to students, hence why it was sold as an amenity. 20 "free" pages a month is not enough for students. Rent has continued to go up annually with no upgrades made to units or other amenities so there is not reason why... "free" printing should be limited. Residents are paying $$$ in rent, so it is ridiculous that the printing privileges are now limited. The new printer service charges between $0.99-$0.19 per page depending on how many sheet you print which is ridiculous.
2. The Bayonne car decals are unsafe. Prior to the fall of 2022, Bayonne was very relaxed about the car decals and never towed, even on game day. This past season management has decided to be strict on the rules. While it is appreciated that non-residents are not in the garage, driving around Baton Rouge advertising where you live is unsafe. I am incredibly uncomfortable with my apartment being advertised to every car I pass. Residents should not have to chose if they would rather be towed 5-7 Saturdays out of the year or risk anyone on the road following them to where they live. Other apartments in the area have logos on their front windshield gate barcode which is so much safer. I am hopeful that Bayonne Management will come up with a solution that prioritizes residents' safety both in the garage and on the roads. This is such a preventable safety concern.
