No-good apartments
What a year it's been. I started off at my initial move-in last year with cockroaches crawling out of every corner and management being totally unresponsive to my repeated requests to seal up the cracks through which they were coming through and remove the dishwasher in which they were nesting. Then came the unbearable heat in the summer when the air conditioning broke down and management had a snail paced response to fixing the problem. Then came the mold in September which took them 3 weeks... after my initial notice for them to look in on, and I could still see in the vents throughout the house after they supposedly 'fixed' it. I am still finding some personal items covered in mold 2 months later.Elevators and laundry machines are frequently broken down, and locks on main entrance doors have been broken for over 6 months with no obvious inclination from management to fix it. They also decided to impose new outrageously high utility bills on all residents in the middle of the lease. The cherry on top though, is that should you owe rent or they miscalculate (as they often do) and claim you owe some dubious sum, you will hear from them ASAP. Ask them though to clarify or give credit, and you will be better off talking to a wall. Sigh. Do not walk. Run! Run away as fast as you can from this apartment. You might even be better off living in a tree than this place - at the very least, you'll know what your expectations are.
