Do Not Move Here
My family and I moved into a 1 bedroom and a den on October 11, 2019. Upon moving into the unit, the Property Manager assured me I would have no issues within this unit that could not be addressed within a a business day. Starting in the month of November 2019, a little less than 30 days of living on the property, paying my rental responsibilities and being a responsible tenant, I have had several issues with my water, water leaks and numerous issues with the lack of hot water in my unit on... several occasions in addition to having no heat in my unit with my 2 school aged children for 5 days and no emergency maintenance or contractor to rectify the situation over the weekend. Since October 11, 2019, I have contacted Emergency Maintenance 15 plus times for multiple issues, mainly regarding the hot water in my bathroom, and water leaks in my kitchen cabinet and in the den area where my children sleep. My recent experience was today Friday December 27, 2019, I came home at 5:45pm to no hot water, I contacted the emergency maintenance line who advised a technician would respond. The technician came out to my unit, and stated "its not working" as he proceeded to leave out of the door of the apartment and did not return back to my unit to address the issue or to provide any updated information. I have been contacting management and sending emails requesting assistance for the past 2 hours and no one has responded, however the voice recording determines lack of hot water to be an emergency situation. I have contacted the Prince Georges County Code Enforcement Inspector in order to address the issue with the water in my unit and even after violating the property management company we are still experiencing the same issues. My overall experience with Woodland Grove has not been good, and the experience with the property management company BDMG has been even worse, although their mission states they want to create a comfortable place for its residents to call home, this has been the worse housing experience I have experienced so far. Definitely not what I expected per the interaction I had with the property manager Blaire, when I arrived to this property.
