Current Resident - Car Stolen Twice from Property in Less than Five Weeks
The saving grace to this property is the staff. The property manager and leasing staff were all courteous, professional, responsive and 10/10 in providing customer service. I truly hope the company appreciates them for everything they go through, and well-done to the company for picking EXCELLENT staff.
Most of the neighbors are wonderful. However, I experienced many negative issues at this property and I am sharing my experience for the benefit of others.
First, there is constant smoke... drifting in the so called “non-smoking” apartments. Complaints provide no resolution as they will tell you that they cannot do anything about it. Because I am not a smoker, the constant smell of the smoke affected my breathing. However, raising this issue proved useless.
Second, my car was stolen from my designated parking spot TWICE in LESS THAN FIVE-WEEKS in BROAD DAYLIGHT. It was first stolen on June 2, 2023, miraculously recovered + repaired on June 27, 2023, only for it to be stolen AGAIN on July 6, 2023.
Both times, the vehicle theft occurred during office hours when the gates and front doors are left wide open for anyone to walk through.
This reoccurring vehicle theft means nothing to the company and they truly don’t care. Although vehicle theft has occurred at least five times on this property, the front gates and front doors continue to be left wide open for anyone to walk into. Furthermore, Julie, the Director of Resident Relations, essentially informed me that they need to leave gates/front doors open so people such as mail couriers and food deliverers can access the property (apparently at the expense and safety of current residents).
As you can imagine, this has resulted in reoccurring crime (I came home one night and LOTS OF BLOOD was being cleaned up that had been shed on the front steps of the property, covered the elevator, and had stopped right around my apartment).
Furthermore, I was not informed of the open gate policy and would have chosen to rent elsewhere if I had been informed. My advice is to look for another community to call home.
