Rental staff are such cowards
Ivy Hall Apartments a 55 and over preferred community is increasing all tenants monthly rent to the legal maximum. The notification was sent by mail notifying tenants of the increase with the statement, and I quote "If your plans require you to leave, we'll be sorry to lose you from our community." Most seniors have fixed incomes and such a drastic increase in rent is a hardship on many. They also deemed they will no longer accept leases over 12months(that way they can increase rent every 12... months instead of 16 or 18 months) . The letter's return address was a P.O Box, there was no telephone number to make inquires and the signature was illegible without a typed name underneath to know who sent it. Unbelievable!!! Also please note your water bill is not calculated by your personal use, it's calculated by the average usage of apartments your size, so if you have 2 people living in your 2 BR/ apt and another tenant has 4 people in their 2 BR apt the cost is averaged out to pay equal amounts. We were not told this when we moved in. Our water bill is about 40.00 per month, living in a house previously my water bill was an average of 27.00 QUATERLY. It's a nice community however be prepared to pay the full scope possible, otherwise "they will be sorry to lose you."
