Cheap, but you get what you pay for.
I've lived at Nob Hill for about a year, and let me say it's not the greatest. It's probably one of the cheapest complexes in Ann Arbor, but I would only live here if you're short on options.
Pros:
-Cheap for Ann Arbor.
-Maintenance is relatively quick.
-Staff is pretty nice.
-Location is decent.
Cons:
-Apartments are extremely old, nobs to all my cabinets are falling off.
-No AC.
-Kitchen is very small, no place to put anything really.
-Bathroom is especially bad.
-Rent payment website is... buggy and unreliable, no idea why they use it.
-***IMPORTANT***: Most of the outlets are 2 pronged, and the few 3 prong ones are not grounded (with the exception of the ones in the bathroom and kitchen which are GFCI). I know this because I checked with a receptacle tester. I called maintenance and they told me it shouldn't matter as long as you have your own surge protector. This is simply not true, the ground is what makes your surge protector work. Even if they've never had any problems, this is still a safety concern.
As I said, I really can't recommend living here, out of the 5 apartments I've lived in the past several years, this is by far the worst one. If you're low on options because it's hard to find apartments in AA, go for it. Otherwise look elsewhere. Sorry Nob Hill.
