My experience with York Management, specifically with Jaclyn, was extremely disappointing and frustrating.

Before I submitted my application, Jaclyn was informed that my sister, who is an active-duty member of the U.S. military currently stationed overseas for a six-month assignment, would be serving as my co-signer. Despite being aware of this from the beginning, she continued the application process and requested extensive documentation from both of us. We spent nearly a week and a half… gathering and submitting sensitive financial and personal documents through unsecured email communications.

After all of that time and effort, I was ultimately informed that my application was denied because my co-signer was currently overseas. This information was known from the outset, making the prolonged process feel misleading and unnecessarily drawn out. Had this policy been disclosed upfront, we could have avoided wasting valuable time and resources.

This situation was particularly difficult because I am relocating from Pennsylvania and have been forced to make housing and travel arrangements while continuing to commute to Michigan for various obligations. The delays throughout this process significantly impacted my ability to secure housing in a timely manner.

In addition to the outcome, I found the communication and overall handling of the application to be unprofessional. Having rented apartments for over 15 years, I have never encountered a policy that automatically disqualifies an active-duty military member from serving as a co-signer simply because they are stationed overseas. Such a policy appears exclusionary and fails to accommodate the realities of military service.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this apartment community. Prospective applicants deserve transparency regarding co-signer requirements before investing significant time, effort, and personal information into the application process. Read More

The property does not salt before snow, and takes at least 5 hours after a snow for a plow to come through. Parking lot and sidewalks are a sheet of ice starting at the first snow until the weather gets warmer. It is a hazard. Buildings have a structural issue where there are no heat ducts in the entryway or stairs up to the second floor apartments. near the door/stairs are below freezing when its cold out, they recommended getting a space heater because there is no way to fix the issue. I’ve lived in multiple apartment complexes in Ann Arbor and The Park is by far the best one. The team there is incredibly quick with responses, be it an email or there’s a leak in the bathroom. During the winter the sidewalks are constantly being plowed and iced, I don’t have to worry about my daughter or I slipping. The courtyard, pool and grilling areas have been so pleasant during the summer, I actually enjoy having guests over! 10/10 would highly recommend living here for a family or just… yourself! I've found the new management polite and always willing to listen and help. The new portal keeps me up to date on useful information and is an easy way to ask questions or put in a work order.
They have done a lot of improvements. Love the new apartment upgrades. For only taking over about 6 months ago they have done a lot.
