Don’t Rent Here
Lived here for almost 7 years, never late paying rent & kept an eye on pool activity (non residents always used the pool). Manager isn’t the sharpest. My lease was set to expire, new lease had not released (per Claudia it was a computer glitch), told manager I would be moving. Manager (Claudia), she told me that per my lease that was about to expire I had to give 45 days and that I was to keep utilities on for the entire lease period. I paid the rent for the full month and vacated the unit on... the 14th of the month. I informed Claudia that I’m only responsible for utilities while living there & I responsible for notifying DTE & Consumers accordingly. Manager had the Corporate Office send a bill to the apartment address charging a $637 fee (no calculation showing # of days, daily rate provided) plus upcoming water bill charges less security deposit. Sending the bill to the apartment was intentional as a forwarding address was provided to Claudia(the same forwarding address was give to the utility companies as required). Claudia will waste water by running the sprinkler system excessively and then charge the tenants the maximum $75 from the period July-October.
