Noisy
Day hours are nonstop banging and rumbles of peoples voices, children yelling, cabinets slamming…. Pretty much anything more than a ninja footstep can be detected. Don’t do anything more than gently place an object on a surface, or you will be heard. The banging from upstairs is bad, but you can get used to one noise. It’s your neighbors on your left and right that will be your issue. You can hear them live their whole lives as I described before. It’s not as bad as I hear some places are with... paper thin walls, but you can’t to anything without second guessing whether or not you are being too noisy. That’s no way to live. I’m not sure how apartment complexes get away with charging so much for a place that didn’t even have soundproofing to muffle out people talking. You can’t make out words, but it’s beyond annoying.
My second day here, from about 4pm to 11pm there was non stop noise, and what seemed to be a domestic altercation where a man was yelling at the top of his lungs. My neighbors then responded by stomping around themselves and turning the volume up on their games and music. The fact I was able to hear all of this tells you a lot. The fact the people in here are fighting each other with noises tells you the type of place this is.
I’m lucky enough to be in a unit where everyone seems to sleep at night. I don’t hear much of anything at night.
