Out of my decade of being a renter, this has been the worst place I have had the misfortune of paying to live in. STAY AWAY! It took 6 months for maintenance to address issues, they never plowed after it snowed so it piled up and would melt/freeze, and people constantly parked in the fire lanes due to lack of available parking.
Anytime maintenance actually showed up, no notes were ever left, but we could tell someone had been in our home due to the shoe trails left behind.
Also, there is an... arbitrary clause that states tenants need to give a 2-month notice to vacate, even though a 12-month lease is signed; while I’m told this is ‘common’ in MN by the landlord, I have not come across it in the 10 years I’ve been renting. Frankly, it seems incredibly deceptive and only a way for landlords to make more money.
When I asked the landlord about this directly, I was ignored.

I rented 2 bedroom apartment after it was remodeled. Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, etc. The building exterior and grounds have been refreshed. I like the attached garage and private parking stall in front. It would be nice if there was more guest parking. There are NO hallways. This makes the apartment front door more private. I have no complaints. I would recommend Walnut Trails to my friends.

Do not move here. The office is never open, they don't remove snow. The parking is non-existent. The only good thing is the maintenance guys. Just trying to return my keys after moving from this dump and I can't because nobody is in the office, even though their hours are 9-5. It's pathetic. Avoid this place at all costs. Seriously.

I moved to Walnut Trails, not having the opportunity to actually see it before hand. The floor plan was great, the apartment was clean. The neighbors were great and maintenance was done in a timely fashion. The only [literally the only complaint] I have, pertains to my half where I lived. Parking [no matter what season] was an absolute nightmare, but it was only on the 1801-1811 side. The other side appeared to have ample parking, even with the snowbanks.
