l live in an apartment called the Edina Towers.
Ever since moving in the management has allowed some sort of manufacturing business to operate about my unit. There is constant pounding,screeching and the sounds of weights being dropped 24/7. It can be 1am on Sunday night or 5am in the morning. Complaints were made to mngr and appx 50 recordings of the disruption,as well as staff actually sitting in the unit and hearing the noises just as described. The mgr refused to do anything about it. Also... the apartment across from my unit the tenants are chain smokers and the sick smell of tobacco flows under the front door of my unit causing my unit to smell constantly like an ashtray. The building has a strict no smoking rule but that is ignored. Again mgr refused to do anything other than to me to move to another apartment. She Shari(mgr) stated that I could just move to a different apartment and to not even bothering to clean the unit as the deposit (300.00) would be refunded. This costs about 3000.00 For moving expenses.I received a bill for an addition 380.00 (after they keep my 300.00)
with bogus charges and a 600.00 fee to repaint the unit. I was threatened to pay the bogus charges within 7 days or this was going to collections. I didn't even received the demand until 10 days after the date of the letter. I strongly believe this is Elder Abuse on top of a vengeance ploy from the mgr.as she actually broke down in tears after getting an 8 out of 10 on a survey.(should have been a 0 but was being nice)I have sent a certified letter to Ted Bigos owner and have not been responded to. I am disabled with physical disabilities and need walking assistance tools.I just had back surgery (again) at the beginning of the year.This was extremely painful to have to move and then be victimized by trying to steal money from a senior.
