Avoid at all costs - new management is nonexistent
We've been waiting to have our furnace looked at for almost 3 months now. It has stopped working twice this winter. An HVAC person came out on January 9 and told us it's because of the amount of dry wall dust that had completely clogged the air filter after just a week of being installed. This is the same dry wall dust that must be lining the insides of the air ducts because it coats all of our personal belongings on a weekly basis despite vacuuming and dusting weekly. We have two air purifiers... in the unit because of the dust, and we've accrued about $500 in costs now, because the filters have to be replaced so often.
Just to be clear, this management company cannot even get someone to come out for a furnace that has stopped working TWICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER. Maintenance has come by 3 times since the new management took over, but each time they say they can't do anything because everything is "under warranty" and say they will have to send someone else out. We have had to hound these guys to do literally anything to make us feel confident they’re working on this, but we just received a message today through the portal saying they have 2 maintenance requests on file and they are “just wondering whether they have been resolved.” When you look at the maintenance request portal, there are no requests anymore, not even in past requests. So they’re just deleting things now. That was the last straw.
Each time I speak with the office or maintenance, it's like starting from scratch, because clearly no one communicates. You would think they would remember us based on how much we’ve had to stay on their case to get them to do their jobs, but I guess not. They can never give me any details about the status of anything or any specific steps they've taken, claiming they “don’t have that information available.” The main office staff, Robert, cannot access his voicemail or email, even though he's been here for over two months because "he was never instructed how." The staff are rude and dismissive, and blamed me and my partner for having both called on separate occasions. Robert actually told me there were "too many people involved," so it was confusing for them. They consistently use a tone with us that we are somehow the ones being unreasonable in the situation.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for apartments, because this has been an absolute nightmare.
