Good not Great
Management is perpetually “behind the ball.” To say they are proactive would be inaccurate. They do, however, go out of their way to post signage, asking for accolades. Seriously that happens. They actually referred to themselves as “heroes“.
These “heroes” continuously make changes that work against improvement. If not for the way, the property itself is built this place would deserve a lower rating. It’s a 5 star building run in a 1 or 2 star way. You might be better off living in the sister... building called “Revel” because that’s all management will talk about. Seriously they can’t stop thinking about this sister property.
When we came to tour the building, the property manager assumed we would meet them at their office located in Revel (3 blocks away), and not in the building we were interested in renting. This was assumed not communicated. This was also true when we came to get our keys.
There is no secure place for package delivery, and we have had items stolen. Management is completely unsympathetic, and made the recommendation that packages be delivered elsewhere. There does not appear to be any interest on behalf of management to install a secure locker system. This was not the case in two other locations in Uptown close by that we’ve lived.
The key system is outdated. The units themselves use traditional keys, and the fobs for entering the building are combined with garage door openers. This is true whether you rent a space for underground parking or not. This has led to several issues of people parking in parking spaces they are not permitted to. Management’s solution is to switch to an obstructive hanging parking tag over the windshield sticker system that is nearly invisible to the driver.
There have been several times returning home where the garage opener fob appears to be unresponsive. This has been expressed to management, but the issue persists.
The only saving grace of the building, or the maintenance crew who are tirelessly working with likely limited resources to fix issues that have been in place prior to ownership changing hands. Management has been the same throughout.
